Tim Fagan - Local Boy Done Good

You might not yet know Tim Fagan, but chances are you're already familiar with one of his songs. Co-writer of the Jason Mraz/Colbie Caillat grammy winning song "Lucky", Tim has stepped out of the songwriting role and has just released a full length album.

Stream (then buy) his new album herehttp://timfagan.bandcamp.com/

"The best I can be doing on any given day with my music is to be translating things that happen in my life and combining them with things that happen in everyone's life and in that comes a lot of memories and things that we miss but it's the stories that are always ongoing that keep us...keep us at it."

Dear Arizona

A letter (warning: may induce tears).

"Each time, when these things happened, I was disgusted with the way people didn’t bother to help. I was stuck on the side of the freeway hoping my friend’s roadside service would show, just watching tow trucks cruise past me. But you know who came to my rescue all three times? Immigrants. Mexican immigrants. None of them spoke any English."

Swan Talk

If you haven't done it yet, you really should download the new Girl Talk album. It's free, it's awesome, and probably the best workout/snowboarding music ever created. If that's not enough, then maybe this video will convince you to click. Starring a burnt out ballerina who left the dance world after starring in the Nutcracker at Lincoln Center (sound like a movie you might have seen recently?), the video shows the type of spontaneous low budget cool that makes you appreciate that people are out there creating things in our everyday world. Enjoy (links courtesy of D.Y.).
